Mono-Dicalcium phosphate is light-grey crystal micro granular particle. It is a mixture of monocalcium and dicalcium, easily soluble in hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, solubility of water exceeds 60%. It loses crystal water at 80°C. Its molecular formula is Ca(H₂PO₄)₂·CaHPO₄·2H₂O.

 

 

Since most of aquatic animals take in feed phosphate through rectum, it is necessary to give it soluble phosphorous form. The biological availability of MDCP phosphate is much higher than other feed phosphates such as dicalcium phosphate, bone powder, tricalcium phosphate. It is auxiliary feed for aquatic animals, poultry and livestock. It can promote feed digestion, put on animal’s weight, cure diseases such as rickets, osteomalacia etc.
