LR-971 Titanium Dioxide Pigment

LR-971 is Zirconia and Alumina treated rutile titanium dioxide pigment. It is capable of greatly decreased loading amount compared with present lightly coated rutile or anatase titanium dioxide pigment. Its superior features as followed:

It is a heavily silica-alumina surface coated rutile titanium dioxide pigment

It is designed to give maximum opacity in highly pigmented flat paints and printing inks

It is readily dispersible in aqueous paints

Better outdoor durability.

For Color evaluation, coated in 150 micron thick with wet film applicator on a glass plate.

For Opacity evaluation, coated in 60 and 100 micron thick wet film with barcoater on a black-white paper board.

Figure 1 shows under same hiding power(the contrast ratio is 0.95),the Spreading amount of LR-971,R-996,Anatase TiO₂ are 84、98、116g/m³，that the relative hiding power are 100、83、62. It depicts that LR-971 has excellent hiding power in latex paint.
